In June 1967, I joined the US Air Force and after basic training, spent time in Colorado Springs. In 1970 I married and over the next 12 years had four children followed by a divorce.
In 1973, I began an art/craft hobby in woodworking centered around the scroll saw. Five years later, I started making miniature furniture and accessories for adult dollhouses, which become my full-time business from 1980 to 1992. As a result, I have products all over the world.
In 1992, I began carving small detail on wood using dental tools and burrs. My primary focus was carving on pistol grips and gun stocks but now includes fine wood jewelry (www.kgratajesak.com).
In 1999, I met my current wife, Rita, at a square dance in Seattle, WA. We continue to dance when time allows and we have made wonderful friends over the years (as well as keeping our old bones moving). Last fall (2016) we moved 50 miles north of Seattle to the small, peaceful community of Arlington, WA and love it here.
All is well.
